Your article Tim is another sad reminder that health care in the US is still a PRIVILEGE and not a RIGHT. I deal with the kind of issues you so insightfully highlight from the study. I cannot save the world or even some of my own patients and that is hard for me to swallow as a man living with HIV and an HIV provider. Most days I see people leave my clinic without the two friggin' bucks in their pockets to pick up their HIV meds. I know they are not going to get them. I know that life will become extremely hard for them over (what my father would have called) "chump change" and they may end up back on the streets, using, or dead. All because of not having bus fare. This is bullshit.
