Hi Peter, First, thanks for reposting my comment to Dan. Second, our organizing wiki, which we have dubbed "The Impact" (http://jointheimpact.wetpaint.com) allows for discussions of every topic. The forums used there are mainly where we all come together and say what worked and what didn't. That said, I agree completely that getting us all in one room together would be amazing and definitely something that I would not say no to. Until the funding is there, we have to use the tools in front of us. Wetpaint generously donated their organizing wiki to us and also (along with some amazing volunteer moderators) donates quite a lot of time to ensure that every forum is watched. For the most part, these forums are where our postmortems exist. Conference calls between the board and the ED's is, of course, another place where these exist. The Impact forums provide ALL members the opportunity to share their ideas for what will work, tell us what didn't work, and help us understand what did. If anyone wants to donate their funds specifically to get us all in a room together for one amazing training and planning event, then we are happy to accept. All donations can be made here:http://jointheimpact.com/donate/ When it comes to what bloggers can do to help, you have done a great deal already. Putting information about our events out there is great! When critiquing our events, I only ask that you ping contact@jointheimpact.com to let us know about your new post so that we too can read the critiques and take them in. Because we are all volunteer, we don't have publicists keeping our attention on what is being said about JTI. Rex Wockner has done a great job of pinging me any news related to JTI and sent me to Dan's blog post. With all the time spent organizing and such (and our day jobs), we don't have a ton of time to hear all opinions outside of those spoken on our blog and The Impact. Bloggers like you are such an amazing help to us and I hope that you continue to share your opinions and ideas! I also hope that we can all work together to keep our community united. If it turns out that JTI hinders rather than helps this, then JTI cannot be the platform. My end goal is full equality. I want my wife and I to have the exact same rights as my parents who have been together for 30 years. I'll work toward that in anyway that I can, and hope that JTI can be what helps, but this is up to the people, because JTI is not mine, it's everyone's.

Money. We need to find a way to get people to donate as well as the religious right does or close to it. Money, in my opinion, was one of the chief weapons the opponents of gay rights had in the last election. Many gays and lesbians really do not know about the HRC or their state gay rights organizations. I am not saying that the gay community donate to the HRC or others they might be angrywith but we need to not be so cheap with supporting gay rights organizations. I think to start people will just have to own up or find a benefactor to meet somewhere to do postmortems. Probably one of the states that lost out in the last election
