This journey of hope began when I realized that suicidal and depressive thoughts could no longer override my desire to live.  June 19, 2007 I was diagnosed with HIV and under diagnosed with severe depression. Not only was I diagnosed with HIV but I had to disclose to my nuclear family that their second son had contracted HIV.

I can still hear my mother’s words welling inside my ear drums louder than a bass playing in an acoustic music session; are you going to live or die?

My name is David D. Robertson, I’m a 26 year old empowerment speaker, college student, advocate for the hopeless and moreover another survivor willing to Help Innocent Vessels (H.I.V). My desire is to give you the reader an account of hope throughout these hopeless times. Are you any one of the following- HIV positive, depressed, homeless, jobless, faithless, or lacking motivation?

If yes, then you’re the perfect candidate to stay tuned into my blog. My life is nowhere near perfect but, there is something about being inspired when there is nothing else in life that has fixed those broken pieces of your day. My only disclaimer is that whoever reads my blogs will need to breathe. Really! Breathe! Take a second between sentences and breathe, release and retrieve!

Let the words of hope submerge inside your being, and allow for my story to enable you to be better than where I am. Follow me in my journey as a catalyst of hope. Welcome to The Face of H.O.P.E. (Helping other people evolve) Chronicles!
