Hello David. I am SOOooo Happy for your strong personal empowerment to help others on depression. I have been poz, as long as you have been alive. Depression , I have managed through my art, spirituality and the love of CLOSE TRUSTED FRIENDS. I have been so mindful in the management that it's apart of my life to protect that nucleus you shared with. This a first for me to respond to a blog. God bless Us ALL.

Its been 20 years since I was diagnosed. In that time my 27 year old son died in a motorcycle accident (2003), my husband had a massive heart attack (at 50) and also died. I have done everything but lose my mind. I am a functioning Depressive (yes like a funtioning alchoholic). Having HIV as the backdop of my existence just makes life and the loses that much harder. Life's blows are painful enough - like losing my only son which I still have not come to terms with. I wish I could be more positive but it is to damb hard!! God give you the strength to carry on.

David, thanks for your idea. have a great vision ad just remember where there is vision there is life. I strongly believe that one day there will be a cure. above all I thank God that you and I and many more are living today just bcoz we are on ARV and such. imagine how many pple lost their lives before this wonderful meds were applied. or even the many who neglected the use them. Continue doing everything good that your heart and hands find to do.

Hi David just want to say that you are strong and will make it through. I am a long time HIv prevention volunteer and worker. I believe in my heart that there will be a cure for HIV/Aids one day. Some days are good and some are bad. We must thank God for each one that we are alive. Keep your head to the sky.

Hi David, Like you I believe we have to remain positive in our outlook on life and strive to be the best we can be. We may have this aweful virus in our system, however it is not the end for many of us due to the vaste improvement in medication. None of us should give up on our dreams, our goals. Life is for living and I intend to live mine as you out there should live yours. Depression comes and goes however, I always remind myself that there IS light at the end of the tunnel! Keep up the positive work young man!
